Ever since moving to New York City, identical twin reedmen Peter & William Anderson, now Juilliard Grads, have been taking the jazz scene by storm. They lead versatile ensembles that play everything from swing dances to jazz festivals, and cite Charlie Parker, Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Art Blakey, Duke Ellington, and Benny Goodman as their primary influences. The Anderson Twins Jazz group have given feature performances and lectures at Jazz @ Lincoln Center, Iridium Jazz Club,  and D.C.ʼs Blues Alley.  In May 2010, the twins co-produced and directed a 2-week Off-Broadway production at Manhattan's 59E59 Theaters celebrating Artie Shaw's centennial, garnering a NY Times review: "Pete and Will Anderson are virtuoso's on both clarinet and saxophone." Blogspot.com proclaimed, "You will not hear anything better musically on a New York stage this month."  More recently in October 2011, the Anderson Twins produced the "Anderson Twins Big Band" debut at Symphony Space, celebrating and offering new interpretations on the music of Quincy Jones, who personally gave the twins his best wishes and thanks via phone call.
