Bio

Candice Bostwick is relatively new to the DC Jazz scene, and yet in a short period of time has proved herself to be a multifaceted vocalist with an exuberant passion for singing and interpreting jazz and the blues.  Her early experience in music led her to be the lead singer in three rock bands, yet in the past few years, she has found her calling in jazz.  Candice is a soulful singer with impeccable phrasing.  She keeps her audience engaged with a great selection of songs. Candice has performed at Twins Jazz, The Carlyle Club, Blues Alley, the Ritz Carlton in Georgetown as part of the Art Soiree’s Living Room series, Mr Henry’s on Capitol Hill, ArtSpace Herndon and the Epicure Cafe in Fairfax.  She was recently featured in a tribute to Duke Ellington sharing the stage with Jose Andre.

Joining Candice at the Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival will be:

Wayne Wilentz (piano)

David Jernigan (bass)

James West (drums)

And special guest

Marshall Keys (saxophone)
