Bio
Bruce Swaim attended University of North Carolina at Greensboro as a performance major in saxophone. He has also studied with acclaimed saxophonist James Houlik. He has since become a full time professional musician in the late 1970s. He moved to the D.C. area in 1981. Performance credits include Danny Gatton, Keeter Betts, Carl Allen, Rosemary Clooney, Martha Reeves, Millie Jackson, The Spinners, Michael Feinstein, Ronnie Wells, Houston Person, and many others. Swaim is also active in studio work with many independent pop and jazz recording projects, numerous film and T.V. soundtracks and jingles. He as performed at many venues in the U.S. and Canada. In the D.C. area, has appeared in many top showcase concerts and clubs including the Kennedy Center, DAR Constitution Hall , Blues Alley, Wolf Trap, and Lincoln Center in New York.
